One small church living God's big plan

Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19, we are suspending our physical worship service and will hold worship online. Details of how to view the worship will be shared soon.

In making this  decision, we are closely following guidance from public health officials and operating out of an abundance of caution. Please continue to pray for God's healing hand during this time.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Why do you pray? When do you pray most consistently? Do you agree with C.S. Lewis that prayer is hardwired into the human heart? When do you think prayer becomes instinctive?

  2. Would you say that your life is marked by prayerlessness? Do you think this is from a lack of humility (knowing you need God's help), faith (knowing God is willing to help), or both?

  3. Do you believe that prayer actually changes things? If so, how do you reconcile this with God's sovereign, pre-ordained will?

  4. If you had deeper faith in God's compassion, tenderness, and willingness to listen and help, how would it change your prayer life? Who you pray for? What you pray for?
